Vacancy: Administrative Medi-Cal Clerk

Contra Costa Youth Service Bureau is seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, Medi-Cal Administration Filing Clerk! This is a very important role which assists our agency around accurate documentation and billing, utilization reviews and overall high level clerical support.

WHO WE ARE:
We’re a non-profit with deep ties in the community. We’ve been serving kids, youth and families for over 30 years. Our goal is to offer community-focused care for children that have suffered disadvantages at many levels. We offer case management, Wraparound model services, assessment, mental health services, respite services to family caregivers, crisis intervention and facilitation of other services and referrals. Our clients include low-income kids, youth transitioning out of probation, children with mental health disabilities, families and kinship care providers.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience conducting Medi-Cal billing and documentation support services. You are fluid in record keeping and file maintenance and organizational systems. Concepts like Quality Assurance for Medi-Cal documentation and HIPAA are known and comfortable for you. You are able to use the full Outlook suite with proficiency and potentially have some experience with EHR systems. You likely lean towards the analytical side and are also a good communicator!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
You’ll be running point on maintaining our Medi-Cal client program files. You’ll be responsible for the safe and secure holding of files per county and state directives. This role will also provide support during monthly utilization, document collection and submission. You’ll also participate in contributions to admin support for our budget and audit process. This job is physically on-site at our 84 Broadway, Richmond campus.

• Salary: $25 hr DOE/$52K annual
