Taliah Smith

Quality Assurance Specialist

Born and raised in Richmond, California, Taliah Smith is a proud member of the very community served by the Contra Costa Youth Service Bureau. Deeply connected to the people and neighborhoods of West Contra Costa County, she brings both passion and firsthand understanding to her work.[extra]

A graduate of Kennedy High School (Class of 2007), she joined YSB in 2008 at just 19 years old, beginning her journey as a file clerk. Over the years, she has grown within the organization, eventually stepping into her current role as Medi-Cal Technician. Her longstanding commitment and institutional knowledge make her a valued member of the team.

Before joining YSB, her early work experience included childcare and retail during high school, followed by clerical positions after graduation. In addition to her work at YSB, she pursued her passion for beauty and wellness by enrolling in the Laney College Cosmetology Night Program in 2022. She completed the program and is currently preparing for the California State Board licensing exam.

With deep community roots, years of experience, and a continued drive for growth, Taliah exemplifies the spirit and dedication of the Youth Service Bureau team.
